STAR 1 - 5 Program Assessments

This program replaces the former Preliminary & Junior Bronze Program which is now phased out.

This “Assessment” component of the STAR 1 - 5 Programs is a major change to what we have known as LOW TESTING. In the past Woodbridge Figure Skating Club held LOW TEST DAYS that were conducted on a specific day separate from registered skating times of skaters. They were “tested” or evaluated by an independent evaluator under the director of Skate Canada Volunteer Evaluators.

NOW this process is done by your Skaters’ Private Coach at skaters regular scheduled skating session. The coach will notify skater/Parent ahead of assessment date. Parent must purchase the ticket on-line & print serialized tickets. Select the print ticket(s) button icon to ensure you are printing the actual ticket and not the invoice. This ticket must be given to the coach at time of assessment.

Note: Skaters will not be evaluated unless a valid printed ticket is submitted to coach WFSC Member.

         The following tests per level are available for our skaters to complete:

STAR 1 Tests (3): Skills, Freeskate Elements, Dance Elements

STAR 2 Tests (5): Skills,Freeskate Elements, Freeskate Program A) Dutch Waltz Dance B) Canasta Tango Dance

STAR 3 Tests (5): Skills Freeskate Elements Freeskate Program A) Baby Blues Dance B) Dance Elements

STAR 4 Tests (5): Skills Freeskate Elements Freeskate Program A) Swing Dance B) Fiesta Tango

STAR 5 Tests (5): Skills Freeskate Elements Freeskate Program A) Willow Waltz Dance B) Dance Elements

Star 1-5 Assessments are $12 each.  These tests are for Skills, FreeSkate and Dance. Please select the Star number and name of test.
